grassDay 25, Week 4:  Humility (Grass Seed)

Today’s scripture passage:

But Jesus called the little children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Luke 18:16  NIV

This week we are focusing on small things that inspire greater faith.  Grass, flowers, loaves, and fish – and today, little children.  Jesus’ disciples didn’t think children were important enough to warrant his time or attention, but Jesus thought differently.  He gathered the children to himself and exalted the way children receive God.  I believe Jesus valued the children’s humility, openness, and teachable spirits.  He spoke highly of the children so the disciples would understand that God values what the world often disdains.

Today’s reflection:

In what areas can you have a simple, trusting faith?
