clay potDay 19, Week 3:  God’s Will (Clay Pot)

Today’s scripture passage:

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.  Romans 8:28 NIV

This verse has given great definition to my life, particularly to times of suffering.  In those times, I could not always see God’s purpose.  For example, as a child of divorce, I often felt lonely, sad, and afraid, not knowing how to process my feelings in healthy ways.  I see now that God has used those particular sufferings to help me become a godly wife and mother, and to help me show compassion for others suffering in the same way.  God is so amazing – he transforms bad into good!

Today’s reflection:

How is your life called according to God’s purposes?  How has God worked all things together for your good?
